Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Is this a 2wd Maverick?
WOW!!! One of you Southern Boys better grab this one. A 2WD for sure and probably one of the last square wagons made. Sure wish my garage wasn’t full.
Yes, this is a 2WD Maverick. I’ve always thought that this was the only trim used on Mavericks. I’ve since learned that some Maverick years had the Zee trim. It must have a 6-230 Tornado engine because it’s a ’63.
Hey, Scramboleer, if this Wagon were closer, we’d be fighting over it!
**Steve E.**
Hahahhaha Steve. That one sure is nice. After I get my Traveller running, I’d like to get an early flat-nose 2wd wagon that’s already missing major pieces and add modern brakes/small FI motor/manual tranny. Then again, my wife took one look at the Jeepsters at the Half Moon Bay show and said “ooh let’s get one of those.”
I am still struggling with the Maverick details. I need a cheat sheet!
This could have still had a F-head 134 engine as the 6-230 was an option. You have to look at the serial number for sure. The 4 cylinder units probably had the model number 8241, meaning 2 WD station wagon chassis. 4 cylinder Maverick wagons began with serial number 16423 and ended with 17250 in 1962, 1963 started with 17251 and ended with 17427, 1964 began with 17428 and ended with 17467. 1044 total 4 cylinder units during those three years.
The Mavericks with the 6-230 began in 1962 with 10001 ended with 10395; 1963 started with 10396, ended with 10477; 1964 started with 10478, ended with 10522. 521 total 6-230 units in 2WD Mavericks in those 3 years.
Like Glenn says, you southern boys need to hop on over there and buy that Maverick. From the numbers above, you can see how rare they are, whether this has the 4 cylinder F head or the 6-230. Even if it has been sitting a while, it is worth the money. I’m over 2500 miles away or I would be over there!
