UPDATE: **Status Unknown**
How about this unusual barbecue. There’s a grille under the hood and I think one in the dash area, too?
“Here is a one of a kind item this was a 1954 Willys Aero Ace, that was cut into a custom Hot Rod BBQ it has custom wheels, fully powder coated body and frame has dash with Pioneer CD player stereo Has platform for ice chests, and other items for those Rod Run Cookouts can be towed behind most Hot Rat Rods or trucks that have a hitch. serious calls / inquiries only”
AHHH, They took the BIG ” W ” off the grill. Probably sold it on eBay. What a great use for this Aero, which we had many similar rusty ones up here in Maine. That is after we raid the 4 stud wheels and all the brake related parts for our DJ3A , which are almost impossible to find.
Colin, and you other Phoenix Willys Nuts NEED This!! And I’ve got the “W” to put back on it.
We (Jim Sullivan, Greg Bowles and I )watched this being built and haven’t seen it since it was finished. If I had room to park it, it would be living at my house or towed behind my CJ3A!
Hey is this still for sell?
Hi Rich,
I don’t know if it sold or not. If I see it reappear, I’ll drop you a note.

HELP …
I need the entire roof of the cabin area if anyone knows where I can find one. NEVER want to cut up a restore-able vehicle so I’m looking for a wreck or junker that is worthless below the window line. Had a ’52 Aero with the entire top crushed by a tornado in 2010 and can rebuild the car if I can just find a cabin top from ANY ’52 model to section and piece back together. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Doesn’t matter whether a coupe, hard top, two or four door body. I will make it work. willysaero@aol.com.
Many thanks, John Pollauf
John,
Aero’s occasionally appear in my search results, but I rarely post them. I’ll keep a look out for one and will email if I find something that needs work.
