I’m still trying to comprehend what “possible valve or stuck rings” is. To know that only one cylinder lacks compression, the engine is turning… so you could have a BAD ring (but a stuck one?). My guess would be possible “stuck valve” or bad ring(s). I agree that it “needs new home.”
OK… I’m done obsessively overthinking for now 🙂
