(10/06/2014) This GPW is early enough to have the MB frame.

What is the long tube behind the bumper? Is that another type of desert kit?
I didn’t recognize it either. None of the photos in my SAS book show it either.
I had to call and ask. It is actually a rocket tube. He uses it to store rope and straps. After looking at it, it looks like the tube AT-4s come in when they are shipped.
$19,000 dollars for a Jeep that’s been cut so badly the firewall is no longer attached to the cowl sheet metal so you can see into the body from the engine compartment? Welcome to Fantasy Island.
…. Other problems: fuel line, carb, electrical wiring and terminal block, 12 volt…. All from just a quick glance.
And no horn, either. Not that I can see. But for only $18,000…
I’ll be driving through Kingman today. It this MB honks at me, I’ll correct my comment 😉
No original type fuel filter. The early ones like this one did not have the metal radiator pieces. The wipers would not have the connecting bar. Maybe I’m just picky but at that price I kinda expect em to be correct.
No metal pipe in the radiator hoses that is.
