UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This isn’t perfect, but it has a great vintage feel with the old top and posse tag. There are several Douglas Counties in different states, but I’m guessing this was from Nevada?
DID A BIRTHDAY VISIT PAST FEW DAYS IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA WITH COLLEGE BEST FRIEND OF OVER 40 YEARS AND FELLOW WILLYS JEEP ENTHUSIAST… WHEN I SHARED WITH HIM THAT I WAS LISTING MY 7 YEAR PROJECT DOING FULL MECHANICAL REBUILD(in another listing currently), HE ASKED ME TO DO THE SAME FOR HIM AS HE DID NOT NEED 2 JEEPS FOR HIS 5000 ACRE HUNTING RANCH.BEING OTHER CJ WAS ONE OF THE FIRST 5000 PRODUCED, I TOLD HIM TO PART WITH THIS ONE.
HAS ORIGINAL HARRISON HEATER AND VINTAGE “BESTOP/DUALMATIC SOFT TOP. IF BUY IT NOW IS MET, JEEP WILL BE SOLD WITH A VINTAGE SET OF 11-15 ARMSTONG TRU TRAC TIRES MOUNTED ON ORIGINAL …JACKMAN WHITE SPOKES…AS WERE THE OFF ROAD TIRES AND WHEELS OF THE DAY BACK IN LATE 60’S…OTHERWISE JEEP COMES WITH 600X16 MILITARY TIRES AS PICTURED.(WAITING ON PICTURES OF THE TIRES/WHEELS TO BE TEXTED TO ME TO BE ADDED SOON)
VEHICLE HAS SOME HISTORY WHERE IT WAS USED IN SUPPORT OF SHERIFF DEPARTMENT SEARCH AND RESCUE EFFORTS AND CAUSED POWER ASSIST BRAKE SYSTEM TO BE ADDED AS UPGRADE TO VEHICLE.CURRENT BRAKES NEW IN 1999 WITH 150 MILE SINCE AND A FEW YEARS AGO, VALVE JOB DONE AND JEEP HAS BEEN PARKED SINCE.
I HAVE RIDDEN IN THIS JEEP AND IF I CANNOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS, GIVE ME A LITTLE TIME AND WILL GET YOU SOME ANSWERS…UNLIKE MY 1948 RUST FREE EXAMPLE, THIS CJ HAS SOME TYPICAL RUST IN THE HAT CHANNELS AND FENDER SUPPORT THAT IN NO WAY DETRACT FROM IT’S ENJOYABILITY FACTOR…THANKS FOR LOOKING
