UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
(02/22/2014) At least some of this might be DJ-3A, given the year and the solid back.
“1956 Willys Jeep for sale. New rims /& tires. New shocks. New stabilizing bar. It has an tan top. New electric radiator fan. Original 4cyl. 12volt. Weekend driver. No help needed with sale”
I’d be suspicious of it being a ‘1956 ‘ dj tub. 56 tubs with a solid back panel didn’t have top bow brackets at the rear corners.
But with the welded up or smoothed over seam where the back panel joins the fenders and the gas filler hole closed off, they of course could have been added .when other modifications were done.
Charles has a good eye, and there is some damage to the right rear corner, down low, as well as a different rear cross member. The gas tank is mounted low, probably extra capacity. Without seeing the dash, it is difficult to tell if it is a DJ3A or not. Might be a FrankenJeep.
