Mark found this jewel of a PDF at Roscommonequipment.com. We’ve seen a few of these fire jeeps for sale over the years. This document provides some insights into how the pumps work and the type of modifications that were added. The document contains instructions, specifications and detailed drawings.

Here’s an example of one jeep that was for sale last year. I thought there was another one, but I can’t find it at the moment.
I had one of these fire jeeps and didn’t know it… thought it was just some really clean add on by a talented maintenance mechanic. Me being the purist that I am, ended up selling the roll cage and was planning on restoring it back as a military M38A1. If I had it to do over, would have never split that crazy contraption up.
Joe,
Who would have known there were actual specifications involved in this? Hopefully this info will help someone else understand what they have. It’s this kind of stuff that makes the jeep history hunt so fun for me.
