UPDATE: Hopefully this sold.
This is the third stretched jeep I’ve seen for sale in the Spokane area in the last few years. It is possibly a CJ-2L.
“I think its a 1944 willys jeep has the original flathead 4 cylinder four wheel drive works. was used to plow the driveway has a back blade. Hasn’t been ran since last winter should run, the frame has been broke by the front leaf springs.”

I think it is sold!!
I hope so. I’d like to see these extended models saved (and would like to check out one in person). I’m hoping to document some of them to find consistencies.

Yep. I bought it a few weeks ago and am in the process of returning it to daily driver condition.
The stretch is a curious beast. I don’t know if it was dealer installed or not, but it looks to me like it was at least a kit. The extended body panels are professionally made, as are the frame splices. There is also an additional panel installed behind the seats. The panel is angled and has all the necessary footman loops to install a top. The installation of the parts is not as professional as the parts themselves, but it wasn’t poorly done. I believe it’s very possible it could have been done at a dealer body shop. That said, a talented individual could have done it in a garage just as well.
The body and tub serial numbers batch, but I need seats and an air cleaner assembly to get it back on the road.
I have pictures posted over at thecj2apage.com under the same name I’m using here.
Thanks for the update. I’ll check it out on the CJ-2A page. There was a company in California that was extending 2As and calling them 2Ls. I don’t know how many were made though. This sure sounds like it could have been one of them.
Good luck!
