Buying Tips
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. never seen a M-38A1 so shiny and detailed, looks nice but the MV purist may dislike. Body has to be very straight for gloss paint, flat OD hides a lot. I think the USMC jeeps were a little gloss and officers and MP jeeps may have been painted gloss. I can understand doing a total restoration and wanting it to look good with gloss OD.
