UPDATE: Price dropped to $900.
(01/12/2014) It says there is a rear PTO, but I don’t see the unit on the back.
“1948 WILLYS cj2a with rear power take off with 63 cj3b engine complete with 2 replacement fenders and grill comes with plow parts or repair engine doesn’t run will need to be towed 845-518 four 034”
I see something sticking out there in the back, doesn’t look the norm though.
My initial thought was that it is the end of the PTO shaft awaiting the rear PTO mechanism. Maybe there is some crude fix covering the end of the shaft, which makes it look odd?
I see that too. It would have to have some kind of bearing to hold it up. Maybe it was meant to power a winch.
It appears to me to be a PTO shaft in a bearing block with a cover installed. It looks a bit short compared to most tractor PTO shafts, and might be a non standard size…Custom made for a specific application for sure.
