UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**
Tom forwarded some additional pictures he received from the seller. The seller messaged him that he is selling the FC for a friend that recently had a stroke. The seller doesn’t know much about the vehicle.
“1961 willys jeep fc-170 4×4 starts and runs 4×4 works”
I like this one. Wish there was a picture of the bed floor. The rest of the truck looks really solid. I am thinking it may be a 4-speed based on the shifter. Looks like a winching mishap pulled the bar down on the front bumper.
Seller has a number of vehicles for sale. The early Bronco and Camaro look good (not sure if for sale)
Yes, that FC-170 does look good in the photo. I also wonder if it’s as good underneath. That’s not a factory 4 spd shifter. I was guessing that it has an automatic and he used an aftermarket chrome shift lever he had laying around. The E-bay ad doesn’t say much about the truck, or did I miss it.
The brass tag on the dashboard and the light green interior color tells me that it’s a former US Government truck, probably the Forest Service. I’d like to see a photo of the brass nomenclature plate.

Las Vegas NM is on I-25, about 60 miles north of Santa Fe.
I thought it was a 4 speed shifter too but it looks chrome and has a fast taper just below the knob. Factory lever is straight at that spot with a small step down in size. How’s that for a trivial detail?
It appears it did not sell. The last bid was $3550. Here’s the original ebay ad:

If you are interested, I suggest contacting the seller via the ebay email system.
Thanks! I’ve been looking for a 170 that would make a good restoration candidate (runner with limited rust).
I1s this truck still for sale if so what is the price
Hi Darrell,
I’ve marked this sold. I haven’t seen it relisted in a few months.
