UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2700.
(04/02/2013) This is supposed to have an early serial number: #19984.
“1942 ww2 jeep gpw-19984
Have pink and is currently on non-op
Still has original style T-84 transmission
Tub is pretty rusty and someone skinned the back half with sheet metal, I removed the back part
Previous owner said the motor was rebuilt shortly before he bought it and he didn’t get much use out of it before the brakes went out
Brakes need to be gone through and fixed, currently it is rigged up where just the fronts work
Oil pan was dropped and cleaned out (which ended up being pointless) when I got it before I got it running
Has been converted to 12 volt, just put a brand new battery in it
Starts, runs, and shifts great
Would make a great restoration project
$2700 obo”
alot of WW2 jeeps for sale lately, does that mean the market is going up or falling on them.
I’ve noticed that too, but unclear why that’s happening.
My guess is that people are losing interest. Grandpa dies and the grandkids don’t know what to do with the old pile of metal.
This looks like a good, solid project. I wish I needed one, it’s only a half day’s drive from me.

Many families of WWII Vets are giving up their Fathers and Grandfathers belonging to surplus stores as they don’t care about them anymore or know their value and history to family. Sad, sad times indeed.
