Yesterday Dave Alexander wrote to share the Tuxedo Park he and his wife Cindy have owned for nearly two decades.
He writes, We have had ours since 1994. We bought it from an older guy who towed it behind his motorhome occasionally, he was original owner . It had 32k now has 48k I think. My wife and I drive it a little every summer and enjoy it very much. We pile the dogs in and go. It’s got the two speed shifter between seats giving it 6 forward gears, and posi front and rear diffs, I have the original white softop and doors in rafters. Also have a rear wheel tire kit I took off so we can drop tailgate. It will cruise at 70 on freeway on calm day all day long, just don’t turn to sharp cause my wife will fall out. The Shepard fell out once, I just went back and picked him up, he sure had a funny look I his face. And in the snow, only once, it will swap ends in a New York minute.
A real nice looking original Jeep! I think I could be convinced to trade our stock early 1946 CJ2A for one like that…
Thanks for sharing the shots.
The wide steel rims with hubcaps look great.
I’m not sure what the significance of Tuxedo Park is? I had a 1956 cj5, I guess because of that I always like the round fenders better. This one is very tasteful. What do you guys suppose the offset of those rims are?
John,
Here’s a quick answer http://blog.kaiserwillys.com/a-brief-history-of-the-tuxedo-park . Those look like pretty standard 10″x15″ solid steel rims to me. I don’t know what their offset is offhand.

That’s a great looking jeep for a good price
The rims kinda look like the 15×8 KH Renegade I’s…. but those dont have the 3 hubcap “bumps” that hold the dog dish on. Perhaps aftermarket wheels or custom setup. The caps look sweet on the deep wheel, imo

There’s a set of those wheels on today’s eWillys. Also was watching TCM Elvis tribute just now and in a 1965 flick called “Tickle Me” about 3 new Tuxedo Parks and a CJ2A are part of the script. Lots of nice Jeep shots if you can sit through the rest of it. Probably you Elvis fans already knew this movie, but I’d not seen it before.
