UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1250.
“Please be sure to click on the following URL to view all the pictures of this Jeep: 1945 Willys Jeep for saleYou are looking at a 1940s Willys Jeep that needs everything to be restored, but is mostly complete and would make a great project if you’re looking for one of these! What you see is what you get, and I do have an old 1945 title for it (hasn’t been registered in a very long time). It’s got a cool galvanized metal top that looks factory built (not just some cheesy home-made jobby) I think it’s a Sears and Roebuck. Engine is seized up, and vehicle is a total rusty project, but at $1250, it would make a cool, cheap yard ornament until you get around to fixing it up! Thanks for looking.”
===========================================
This is a pic from January 2012 on eBay. compare the bumper, grille, fender bulge, top, and more.
I live/am from Mason City. Ive never seen it around before. Doesnt look like much of a value even at 900 bones.
Jeep is advertised as having a 1945 title …..yet it has no full floater rear or column shift… Sent seller a message asking for the serial number, maybe he will reply and let us know for sure what it really is..
After several email exchanges with the seller I got a picture of the body tag, 112404 is the number, which makes it a later 1947. He dropped the ebay price to 750 before the end of the auction, and it did not sell. Engine is seized. Seems like a nice guy, and he would probably work with you on the price if you needed the jeep for parts and were local.. I was disappointed as I thought we had another 1945 around…Oh well, the search continues..
Thanks for the update Bill.
Is there a link to the current Craigslist ad?
oops .. that would be helpful, wouldn’t it? I’ll have it up in a moment.
