UPDATE: Price dropped to $3450.
(11/17/2013) This has some unusual mods.
“This is a 1948 Willey’s Jeep, runs good (but does need new shocks, yes they had shocks back in 1948). Has been used as a hunting jeep. The four wheel drive does work good.
My son is going to kill me for selling this – please serious inquiries only – if you just want to look just drive by, but if you are serious please give me a call or text.”
According to the ad description this Jeep has S/N # 451-GB1- XXXXX which would make it a CJ3A built in 1951 model year. Tried to email seller but you have to join something.
Thanks Glenn. I didn’t notice the s/n. I wonder why the seller thinks it is a ’48 . . .
Not an expert, but I have owned well over a dozen of these old CJ’s over time, and many of them had titles that were not correct for the year…fairly common practice years ago..as many states did not do a VIN physical inspection..
I suspect that this is what happened to this one…
