UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
“I have a 1953 Jeep CJ3B with the original F-head motor, T-90 transmission, and Dana 18 T-case. Newly rebuilt solex carburetor, new plugs, and cleaned pcv valve and tubing. Motor runs great and starts easy. Transmission is smooth as is 4WD. Has full Koenig hard top and doors with all glass. The drivers side fender and area around the spare tire carrier are the only bad parts in the body. No rust I can find anywhere on the frame or body. Replaced all 4 shackles. New fuel tank, fuel lines, and brake lines. Replaced parking brake cable and works great. Needs front brake parts inside drum only. Back brakes are fine and would stop the Jeep before I removed the master cylinder which is still out but works. Front tires are brand new, needs 2 back tires but still hold air. Still have original oil bath filter and few misc other parts that I will load up with it.”
dave;
you must have exray eyes. i can’t see a dent in the hood.
tom
Isn’t the rear part of the driver’s side hood bending outward?
Yip, I see that as well.
yes but mild. not sure if itis a dent. making a play on this one
dave;
hood is dented. owner said looks like it flew up and hit the hard top and not only are there dents on side where you saw, but a nice crease in the hood from where it hit the top. you da man.
tom
I didn’t know it was that bad! It looked like a little dent to me. Just a lucky insight on my part. You can get hoods for a couple hundred dollars (of course, ya gotta paint, etc). Everything else looks solid.
