The trailer looks more like a Bantam T-3. Here is a link to a converto trailer.

I just bought a trailer just like this one, and it’s registered as a ’44 Willys trailer. The friend I bought it from said it was made by Willys, but there’s no data plate to confirm that. We did find a serial number on top of the tongue. I didn’t think Willys made any trailers until now. I’m still learning about the variety of manufacturers that made ’42 to ’53 1/4 Ton trailers.

Also there are many more parts that go with the jeep and trailer for the price listed. There were just too many parts to list. For a complete listing please email me. Pamela

    Steve E.,
I haven’t seen this trailer in person but this trailer IS likely a Converto T6 or T7 and was probably built for the Navy. One of the easiest visual clues to differentiate besides the data plate is the brake handle. It is a different mount than your MBT. The trailer should also have a different reflectors and pointer cut in the notch in the front draw bars. A number of manufactures produced the WW2 1/4 ton and while converto made the dumper trailer they also made a standard 1/4 ton as you see in the pictures, The did produce very few when compared to Bantam a Willys making this a pretty rare trailer.

It’s all very nice and probably a good deal… but would sell faster “ala carte”. Pam should price the jeep separate from the trailer; separate from those great parts. Put the parts individually on eBay and/or Craigs List. I need a passenger seat, for example, but just that one item (at a reasonable price).
