UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000
(08/07/2013) It looks nice.
“I have a 1949 Willys CJ-3A for sale. This jeep is literally one of a kind, and you won’t find another one like it, especially on Oahu. It makes the perfect island vehicle. It runs fantastic, and has too many new parts to list. Breakdown is below.
1949 CJ-3A Body
1970 Buick Dauntless 225 3.8 V6
4BBL Edelbrock Performer Series Carb
4-Wheel Drive
Power steering (makes a great daily driver)
Tires and rims are brand new, less than 500 miles
Brakes have been upgraded to a ’70 CJ-5 10 inch brakes
Entire brake system overhauled, brake master cylinder, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders
Completely new electrical system, plugs, wires, every wire in it is brand new.
Exhaust system removed, overhauled, and repainted with new gaskets
New alternator
All the belts have been replaced
Herculined the entire inside of the jeep
Every bolt that has been replaced is stainless steel and the body was treated for rust
The entire engine was stripped and overhauled.
Safety and Registration are up to date, jeep is registered as a ’44 Ford GPW incorrectly (previous owner didnt know what he was doing) but it doesn’t hurt anything.
One of the coolest things about this jeep is the ability to fold the windshield down and ride. This thing will get up to 80 on the freeway easily. Power steering makes it easy to use as a daily driver.
Depending on if I sell it soon, Im planning on replacing the seats, entire suspension, and upgrading the intake manifold. These things will all make the price go up respectively.
Don’t bother contacting with low-balls. The price is 20. FIRM. The jeep is a classic, in fantastic condition. It is one of a kind literally. You’ll never see another one like it. No test drives without cash in hand or a cashiers check. You will also have to come to me to look at the jeep. I’m not driving all over the island for wheel kickers.”
Looks more like an M38 than a CJ3A to me, CJs didn’t have the glove box door, hinged grille, headlights with the wire and wide rims around the bulbs, tool indents on the right side.
I think the body is more like a MB. That’s a wide glove box door and no gauge panel. However, I suspect it’s the jeep is a mix of parts.
Looks like a repop tub of some sort to me.
Love the color, I don’t care what it is. It still looks good.
