“Fairly rare 1951 Overland Willys Wagon for sale or possible trade. I drive this thing a few days a week but its time to make room in the driveway so looking to sell or possible trade for something of equal value and uniqueness. I acquired this wagon a few years ago and all the work was done by the previous owner who owned a mechanic shop. Has a strong running 283 with custom exhaust and lake pipes. Lowered a few inches for a cool looking stance, rides pretty smooth and has not failed me yet. All lights and brakes work fine, horn needs a relay. Tires are all in great condition with at least 70% tread left. Has custom double barrel shotgun shifter with what I believe to be a 4 speed automatic. Current with registration and I have pink in hand. Original black license plates. The pictures you see were taken about two to three weeks ago, not last year, and I didn’t water it down to make it look better – like most people do.
This is a running driving car that is 60 plus years old so there are a few things that might need attention.
– Original glass has cracks in passenger side and one rear window, small spot of rust on drivers side front panel area. I have the hood and fenders but the front end was extended out to fit an electric fan by the previous owner, it will take a few hours of fab to remove the electric fan and reverse it so the hood can fit back on, need to have a shop do it or have basic welding experience. I personally drive it the way it is.
It has some blow-by and will need a PCV valve installed to correct this (10$ part), fuel gauge needs to have fuel sending unit installed correctly. Leaks a small amount of oil from the oil pressure fitting port.
As stated, its a safe fully running and stopping car thats definitely fun to cruse around, it get looks and thumbs up’s all the time. Car will come with both fenders and the hood. Looking for $6200.00 but willing to trade for something of equal or possible greater value. Trades like RUNNING boats, classics, motorcycle, vintage/newer small travel trailers, cool stuff for the man cave, fabricated rolling gate, guy stuff! Please don’t offer any crappy shit and no time for tire kickers and joyrides.
