UPDATE: Was priced at $8995. **SOLD**
“I am selling my 1964 Jeep Kaiser mail van which is also known as a “Willy”. Tis thing runs great!! The engine and transition are very solid and run well. It has High, Low and Reverse and runs very strong in all three. The over all shape is in pretty good condition.
It is a right hand side drive vehicle, it was used as a mail van years ago. It has two sets of gas pedals, you can either drive sitting down or standing up. It has a roll up door in the rear.
I was going convert this into an ice cream truck. But had a family obligation so I was unable to go through with the business.
I am strictly selling this in person and for cash only, no payment plans. Serious buyers only.”
WOW!!! This has to be one of the best surviving examples of a seldom seen Willys product. It’s a California original, not a modified rust bucket, at least what the pix show. Notice the FJ-6 used a 5 stud wheel rather than the 4 stud like on the DJ3A. Can’t imagine some Willys lover hasn’t grabbed this one. Try restoring one for that price. Add some hubcaps, your paint / logo- instant traffic stopper in front of your business.
Is this still available. PLease respond either way Im a serious buyer looking for something now!!
Hi Breanna,
It looks like it’s still available. (but under a new link)

Hey all, I ended up buying this FJ-6. I put it on a flat bed even though it ran just fine and took it down to a mechanic. His assessment as of last night. I need to rebuild the engine, transmission, carburetor. I need new clylinders for the front and rear brakes. Shocks, both front and back need to be replaces, the steering column and I need a new starter solenoid. I went into this with the assumption I would have rebuild at least the engine.
The over all condition of the body was great, with no rust anywhere, no dents. The only thing was that the wooden roll up door needs to be replaced because it is dry rotted.
If anyone knows of or has parts for these guys I will purchase them for the project. Also as soon as it is all finished up at the mechanic I will be taking it over to an auto body shop and having it sanded and repainted. I will post the end results as well as the process.
Congrats Sean! Sounds great. Send some updates or even bring it by the FC roundup when you get it finished.
