Back in 1970, I bought a CJ3B, US Navy surplus, with the nomenclature tags specifying it as a 1953 CJ3B, complete with arctic cab. It was white when I bought it, but I painted it 65 Mustang Coral orange, then put a 59 Chevy 283 in it. It ran great with the 283, but the F-head 4 didn’t have much power at 7,000 ft elevation, hence the change to Chevy power. I sold it in 1973 and regretted selling it ever since, as it was rare with that top on it. I have looked for it here in AZ ever since.
