UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay. Listed as a Wyandotte Wooden Jeep on the eBay ad, a reader points out in the comments it is actually a “U.S. Army Miniature Jeep No. 1262” manufactured by the Wood Commodities Corp. New York City U.S.A.
It’s not in perfect shape, but it’s a neat little wooden jeep.

Hello,
I hope you do not take this the wrong way, but this is a “U.S. Army Miniature Jeep No. 1262” manufactured by the Wood Commodities Corp. New York City U.S.A.
Unfortunately I cannot enclose a photo of the cardboard box that clearly displays this information.
Anyway, this is a magnificent toy. Originally, it was marketed in conjunction with the “Improved Commando 75mm Gun Mobile Action no. 1267.”
cheers,
Zammis Schein
Hi Zammis,
I appreciate you pointing out the error and taking the time to correct it. I’ve update the post. The information about that toy came from the eBay auction page, so I take no offense at all!
does anyone know what it sold for? I just acquired a very similar one, though mine has a few differences of design and manufacture.
