can anyone shed light on the tub and the handles on the side I have not seen these on 3a’s before. Granted I’m no authority on jeeps but my curiosity would appreciate the answer.

No, CJ-3As didn’t come with handles. Someone added these to ‘militarize’ this jeep.
The markings on the body look pretty good. This might have been a CJ-3A that was used in the mllitary and then released for sale in 1955, hence the late title date (CJ-3As weren’t produced after 1953).
