Dave, in the U.S.A. these pull type plows usually had a spring loaded hitch that was hooked around a clevis that had a pin dropped through the drawbar of the tractor,or in this case Jeep.To raise and lower the plow,a rope was used that pulled on a lever that operated a mechanical lift.If you look closely you can see a rope going up over the back of the Jeep toward the operator. By the way I have been looking at your site for several months now, It is awesome!KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
