I remember Japanese Mitsubishi jeeps in Vietnam – this is a similar Mahindra jeep made under Kaiser license in India. Mahindra and Mitsubishi were both licensees but there were differences in the products. Mahindra still makes jeeps and well as tractors and other vehicles. They had intended to import a very well built pickup to the US a few years ago but it seems to have fallen through. This was a dealership in Texas http://www.dfwmahindra.com/
Did the Mahindras in the 1950s have dog-ear fenders?
Could this be a Jeep Salad with pieces from newer ones?

Hi, I also have a Mahindra like that. I thought those fenders were more “modern”, like 1965 or so. Could you post the initial three/four numbers of the Serial Number to compare it to mine? Thanks.
I took a look at this Jeep. I was told by the sellers, who once owned a Jeep dealership on Long Island, NY, that the vehicle was brought in to them for service by a woman who purchased it while in India with the Peace Corps. The woman never came for the vehicle after work was completed. The sellers had many remarkable vehicles, and of all this was by far the lesser of them. This was the Jeep featured in Hemmings.
