This looks like the one that was for sale earlier this year in Ohio. Going to see if i can find it.
Has an M38 body on it and tailgate too, battery box lid on cowl is filled in. Grille is M38, still has the two hinge mounting holes visible.

Brian, it’s certainly possible that someone took the time to fill in the battery box hole, however my bet is still that this has the aftermarket phillipines m38-like body (which come without the battery boxes). I also think the front clip is aftermarket, too. While the grille does appear to have the drill holes, it doesn’t have the black light holes (of course, someone could have filled these in). Also, the hood clamps aren’t put where they would have been stock, meaning someone seems to have take a guess when they installed them about where they should go. I do enjoy puzzling through these odd jeeps 🙂
