UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on ebay.
This jeep has a variety of CJ-5 aspects, but was supposedly sent to Sweden for use by their military.
“1969 Kaiser-Willis Military Jeep
-72,000 Miles
-Sweedish but built in the United States and then shipped to Sweeden
-Runs Great
-New Seat Covers
-New Paint”
The data tags in the cj5 are written in German and French, so I believe this jeep to be ex-Swiss military.
Defenitely Swiss, have exactly the same dataplates in mine.
The Swiss were not in NATO so couldn’t buy the M38A1 so they bought the CJ5 instead and installed some gunracks and extra battery-terminals so they could run a radio.
And they were a lot cheaper than the mil spec version.
By the way the importer for Europe was (conveniently) located in Geneva, Switserland.
Just my 2 cents
This CJ5 is definitely of Swiss origin. The Swiss Army had the M38A1 too, total was about 820 pieces. Personally I am owning both of them.
