Craig forwarded this. It looks like a nice restoration.
“1958 Jeep FC-170 professionally restored from the frame up after we saved this Jeep from a pasture near Hermann, MO. Engine rebuilt with less than 150 miles.
New paint, rubber, seats and all around lumber on the bed. Runs and drives perfectly!
This was project for my Dad that never ran the Jeep much at all and wants to sell. I can email more pics if needed.”
looks very nice
Yea, that truck was one of my secret finds that I was waiting to pull the trigger on one day, typical hoarder mentality. A guy called me asking about a FC-170 he had bought and said he was from Herman, MO. I asked him if he had bought it at the Christmas tree farm where my secret FC was as he lived just down the road. He had no idea of the truck until I said that, one week later it in his clutches! D’oh’…. I hate it when that happens! As it turns out he dumps $17,000 into its beautiful restoration and if I had bought it, it probably would be still in the back corner of my “Shed of no Return!” Sometimes things just have a way telling you , “you can’t own them all.” John did a great job on this truck and it will make some new owner a very happy FC’er! Here’s a link to the before picture.

I don’t have any update. I just looked to see if it has been listed elsewhere, but had no success.
