Zack. I don’t remember you telling me that. You need to send me some pics of it. The DJ’s are really inexpensive, simple, and practical vehicles. They may be 2wd, but they come with posi-traction and a slightly different Dana 44 in the rear.

Samuel: I can’t imagine modifying an antique or classic boat. But, the utilitarian nature of the jeep and the whole culture of modifying the vehicle (even at the factory) to suit an immediate need doomed the jeep to mods (great ones, good ones, bad ones and down right ugly ones). Locating and capturing unusual mods is one of my favorite parts of running this site 🙂
True! I am adjusting. I like learning about all the historic mods – especially the post WWII mods. I am on the prowl for a war dated Willys. I’ve had a couple in my budget slip through my fingers. I was just upset to see another war horse turn into something else. I am thinking I should quit WWII reenacting and go for Korea or Vietnam – and have better luck finding an age appropriate Jeep!
I just gotta say that’s pretty ugly. I’ve seen people do mild rods out of these that are nice, this is sadly not one of them.
first thing i thought when i saw the seat, was that he took the futon out of the living room………..good for a nap after racing i guess.
