UPDATE: This popped up for sale last night for only $800! I knew it would go quickly, so I notified an Idaho reader about it late last night. He called this morning (first person to call) and had a deal worked out to pick it up tomorrow. The reader called at lunch to ask an additional question, only to learn the seller sold it out from underneath him to someone else. I hope the buyer knows what they got.
The serial number (verified by a photo that I didn’t download) was #10300.
“This is a very early 1945 Willys CJ2A Jeep. The VIN is 10300 which makes it number 300!! Transmission is froze-up. Would be a great project.”
That sucks.
But there are lower #’d ’45’s still out there 😉
A deal like that you get in the car and get over there right away !
You really can’t blame the seller, so many people call and never show up when you have something for sale, cash in hand talks.
Well, he couldn’t. The seller said he wouldn’t be available until tomorrow. So, they reached an agreement for him to pick it up early tomorrow.
Offer a deposit via Paypal, and/or give the seller additional money to hold it x amount of days.
Seller was specific cash only.
That’s what happened to Bob and those two firetrucks in Carrollton, Ohio. If you have an agreement, you stick to it.
