This is a very low mileage original 1945 Willys MB Jeep. I purchased this Jeep from the original family in 2005. It was in a heated storage area for the last 35 years. The Jeep was still in the crate when purchased. I am the second owner of this fine piece. This MB still has all original canvas seats cushions, crash pads, door straps, original data plates and the original windshield glass (with dates). The Jeep also has all (5) of its original Goodyear tires with the synthetic S3 markings. This is one of the nicest untouched MB’s ever offered for sale – a rare opportunity to purchase a Christmas present in this condition.”
$50,000??? Not a bad investment from the original $50 crated jeep!
Should have left it in the crate…
Why does the inside of the right rear wheelwell look black? Aren’t MBs supposed to be 100% OD?
These particular photos have been used for years by scammers. Normally they undervalue the jeep at about $4000 on Ebay and then end the auction early. Apparently this is the Facebook scam.
I’m very suspicious of this “most original” tag; for one thing, the paint is semi glossy. The army always used flat drab paint. I also notice those 4 bolts through the body on the passenger side by the seat; what is that all about? I’ve never seen that before.
It’s an obvious repaint, but other than that it looks like a darn nice Jeep like I imagine you might have found around 1955.
Sorry, I thought FB was Facebook. I have a very good memory for photos. This was on eBay in the Hudson valley and then the same photos in California. It may be legit, but these photos were once used on a eBay scam.
The four bolts on the passenger side are for a box that has to do with running the signals wiring in the Jeep.
its got a gpw bonnet on it also
If they get $50K for that Willys I’m putting my ’44 GPW up for sale with FB tomorrow!
most original exhaust?
Im so glad for your website. I am brand new at looking for a jeep and actually bid on this. I “won” the eBay bid after being informed I had been restricted from bidding by the seller. I spoke to him by email and he said he had to sell it because of health issues. I was almost set to by it and I did a little research on the serial number and came across the previous sale pages. Thanks again for the info and your advice
Sean, I’m glad you found it helpful. If you ever have any questions about a jeep you are considering, feel free to contact me at d@ewillys.com.
