I am a little surprised that this brochure was published in 1999.

This is a reproduction of the Borg Warner overdrive manual from back in the 1950s. They usually sell for about $10 on ebay. I have one that I have had for at least 32 years. You can buy them also from “The Jeepsterman” in New Jersey.
If you have an original overdrive in any 2WD automobile from the 1940 through the early 1970’s, this manual is priceless. It contains very valuable information with excellent illustrations, including a wiring diagram. It explains how they work and how to troubleshoot problems. Now if I could only figure out my carburetor problem and keep it from backfiring when I kick it out of overdrive, I’ll have it made. It loads up on a hill. I can’t believe I still have a muffler after 25 years of scaring people.
