UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500
(05/23/2012) “The jeep is in great running condition, and still has the original L-134 inline four cylinder that starts right up and drives, no problems. The jeep shifts three on the tree. Two wheel drive. Shows 97 miles on the odometer. Always stored inside and the condition reflects that. It was partially restored by the previous owner, and received new paint and upholstery. Tires are in great shape. Let me know if you would like to come and see it.”
Surrey or not, that’s a nice DJ
Could have been the convertible model, with the top bows mounted differently to install a Surrey lookalike top.And a rear seat added..?? Very nice from what you can see in the pictures…
Dave sent me an email before he listed this and we discussed whether or not it was a Surrey and from what I can see of the photos, I would say it is not a Surrey, but it sure is a real nice base DJ3A. It has the low windshield(no vent) channel iron front bumper, no valance panel, no rear bumper, top bows more like the sport convertible model, no grab handles on the windshield frame, no footman loops on the front fenders for the straps and the wrong hubcaps. It is a 1961 model, though, about mid way through the production numbers.
