I was looking up some PTO parts when I landed on the Jolly Jeepers website. According to their website, the Jolly Jeepers is Oregon State’s oldest jeep club, having been founded in 1962. Two of the jeeps owned by members are custom 6x6s. You can see more 6x6s here.
Coincidently, just before publishing this post, Blaine happened to send me pictures he took of one of these 6x6s at the Orphan Car Show hosted by the Studebaker Drivers Club in Oregon City, Oregon, this past Sunday. I’ve seen “Gator” listed both as a DJ-6 and a CJ-6, so I’m not entirely sure what the base platform was.
Here’s an early shot of the Gator:
And here are Blaine’s photos
This one is built from a CJ-8 or Scrambler:
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $850.
This just cracked me up. This may or may not have willys parts.
“This is a homemade truck with a early Willys 30s front axel and willy Flat head 4 cyl motor that runs great..Was told it was use in a saw mill down south.. This thing has 2 transmissions a 3 speed backed to a 4 speed something very mind boggeling…The truck will drive and stop.. Use for fun or take to shows as it gets alot of attention..
Does not have a title and can possibly delivery…… PS will need a battery”
There might be some value here.
“Complete for parts or rebuild.. has not ran in years. 319-350-7356.”
UPDATE: **SOLD* Was $250.
This might be a good price on a motor.
“An older Hobart 250 amp welding generator driven by the industrial version of the Willys 4-134 flathead engine used in the CJ-2a Jeep and the MB. Brush-type generator. Electrical side was working last time I ran it 5 years ago, but the engine uses oil badly and needs and overhaul. Parts are readily available but I have too many projects. See photos. Engine is complete with generator, carb, starter, fuel pump, and should run with minimal effort. The electrical side has the main DC welding output and also a 120v dc convenience outlet for a grinder or light. See the gray machine in the photos. Cables not included in sale. $250 as is where is or make offer. Loading and delivery available at reasonable rates.
Also for sale is the green 400 amp welder. This is driven by an electric motor. Machine dates from roughly the 1950s and works well but does require 3 phase A/C or a converter box. I ran it on a converter which works fine as long as you don’t run it at full output. $200 as is where is or make offer. Loading and delivery available at reasonable rates.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $100

“I have a complete M38A1 Willys Army jeep from 1954, it is complete! With the original data plates and all the parts are there including top bows and seats, Has new military canvas driver seat as well as the rear bottom seat cushion. I can finish the cnavas job on the other seats if you so desire it. I have spent the better part of 16 months bringing this old Army veteran jeep back to its military glory. It has all the hard to find accessories and attachments. All Five tires are original military tires, as are the rims. I just installed a rebuilt T-90 transmission this year, a complete new old stock exhaust system. This jeep needs some paint and your markings and you are ready for parades, vfw functions or just to jeep around with. I have a box of extra parts that will come with it. Currently the jeep is in 12 volt, I have all the parts to convert over to a complete dual battery 24 volt system. This is the most complete M38A1 offered. Has all the original lifting shackles and front bumper that has not been molested or cut. New ties rods installed, new steering bellcrank, two new front brake cylinders. The fuel tank is original and has already been gone through and restored so you will not have to worry about a fuel tank leaking. Comes with two fuel cans (5 gallon military one is dated 1977 the other is new old stock from 1955) Also comes with two gallons of the correct semi-gloss paint you will need to finish the restoration. If you have any questions call me at 580 six four seven 00 four five. She stops drives and runs. I have put alot of work into this old work horse. But the wife says I can only have one jeep. So now is your chance!
I also have two original manuals for this jeep that come with it as well.
If you are a korean war veteran or veteran period, with proof, I will take $500 off the asking price. And last but not least, I will deliver this jeep to within 100 miles of zip code (73543/Geronimo, OK)”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5700
You can read much more about this at sellajeep.com.
“This is a rare cab-over style Forward Control Jeep with a 2.3 liter F-head 4-cylinder engine, 3-speed T-90 manual transmission, and two-speed T-18 transfer case. I have a clear Texas title in my name. These unusual trucks draw a lot of attention.
The engine and transfer case have seen no use since being rebuilt and they are out of the vehicle, along with the gearbox. Radiator is rebuilt. This truck was sold new in the Phoenix, AZ area and remained there with the original owner’s family until I brought it to central Texas about five years ago, so body corrosion is minimal. Brakes are rebuilt with no miles on them. All window glass is good. Comes with new hoses, wiring harness, clutch, pressure plate, brakes, a spare set of doors, rear window glass, bare cylinder head, spare disassembled 3-speed gear box, vacuum brake servo, plus various extra pieces of trim, and small mechanical items….”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500

“4 1940s Willys Jeep Fenders in good condition. One set is from 1944 and the other is 46. For sale for $50 per fender.”
Lots of parts, but am less clear there is a full truck between the two.
“Two trucks and many spare parts. With everything here, someone can end up with one very nicely restored pickup. In the bed of the maroon truck are two fenders, a hood, and front grill among other things. Original engine in the light-bluish-green truck, but no engine or tranny in the maroon one. The one with the engine was running when it was parked. Email or text 205-447-4181 for more information. ”

Given the price this might be worth a look.
“Upgrades include: Newer F-head engine, Warn overdrive, 2″ spring under lift, Saginaw steering box, new carburetor. Runs, drives, stops. Has good tires. Needs to be wired. Body is in fair condition. Has Bestop Tiger Top soft top. Price is firm. No trades.”
With lockers and other updates this looks like a good price.
“I was asking for 4 thousend (what I paid for it without the parts I bought) but give me a fair offer, I even just dropped it to $3,000. I don’t want to sell her but I need the money ASAP!
