The windshield suggests this might be a VEC. Looks like there is plenty of value. Note that the pics are two years old.
“I have an international Tractor with a loader. I need a good offer on it. Need to sell fast. has been disassembled by an idiot.

Not sure what sort of steering he has on this, interesting wheel mounting…. Chrome rimmed headlights with Bullet lights in grille suggest 46-early 47, has later lollipop style windshield adjusters on it, What did you see on the windshield to suggest VEC….??Not seeing any column shift parts, but pics are pretty poor.
VEC is such a nebulous term anyhow, even over on the 2A page nobody seems to have it pinned down as to what exactly constitutes a VEC….I think 45, early 46, later 46 etc would be more descriptive and less likely to be abused by ebay sellers…..
Might have to go look at this one..
Bill .. I was looking at the windshield and thinking that was the early design. But, now that you pointed it out, I am wrong. So, it might or might not be a VEC.
Regarding what constitutes a VEC and what doesn’t, I have to agree with you. I haven’t seen anything that exactly defines it. So, my goal is simply to point out when there is a chance of a VEC. I do see what you are saying about 45, early 46, etc. I’m on board if anyone wants to change the vernacular ….
The steering wheel is a big puzzle. I assume it isn’t attached?
James: I sure would think there is more than $400 of value here. I think it would be worth a look if it isn’t too far away.
I always thought that the column shift feature would be the benchmark towards defining what a VEC is. They did away with that somewhere in the 38xxx serial number range. I have 39xxx (1946) and I don’t have it nor any signs of having had it, so I always assumed I just missed having a VEC.
David, one time you mentioned somthing about EC jeeps. What are your criteria for those?
I read about the EC designation on the CJ-2A Page. However, it’s roughly the time that is after the VEC era and goes until the grille parking lights switch to the more standard setup in early 1947. However, since I never see that designation used, I don’t ever refer to it.
Thanks, Dave.
