This looks pretty solid. One of the commenters believes this might be an early GPW.
“Up for auction is my Jeep Willys MB in very restorable condition. Very solid body and no rust on frame.(Don’t let the pictures confuse you) The only rust on the body is on both sides of the head channels, approx. 4” long. Can be repaired without removing panels. 5 Original Combat rims with all new tubes & tires. Engine turns by hand. Tranny, 4 wheel drive, Hi/Low levers move freely as they should. Vehicle stears nicely and rolls freely.
My opinion is that this is an easily restorable project. The vehicle is 90% there, all original including almost all original E C marked bolts and early zipper style cushions. (see pics) There is the original front bumper and wooden filler. I believe that the body was never taken off the frame. Vehicle has clean transferable title. It is titled as a 1943 Jeep Willys Ut, which I’m not sure is accurit, since I don’t have the original data plates. Vehical originally came from California.
Please examine all pictures closely, so you can see what you’re bidding on and all that is included in this auction. Here is a link to the photo album of 90 pictures:

The person who commented had no idea what he’s talking about because on rid the pics provided in the link clearly shows an MB frame tag.
Now that’s funny … lol .. I didn’t have time to check the the links at photobucket. I thought there were a variety of MB ish elements to the GPW.
This is still a nice looking thing.
Definitely. I wouldn’t mind having it in my garage.
