Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I can’t quite tell from the picture, but do they need new foam and upholstery?
The upholstery has no rips or tears, but it is kind of brittle in places as old vinyl gets. There was no foam in these originally, it’s kind of a straw type packing for padding. These are all original and have just been stored in the garage since the late 70’s or early 80’s. The flaps in the middle are button snaps for holding them in place on the fenderwells.
