I was doing updates this morning in the Veteran’s Administration parking lot again this morning when I got distracted with the Forklift post below. I have more updates to do, so watch for them late tonight.
In the meantime, I’ll be caring for Ann — the reason I was at the VA again today — who had a tooth and bridge removed and her jaw bone scraped to clear up some infected bone (a continuing legacy of the 1996 bombing). Right now, between Lorazepam and Oxycodone, she’s pretty out of it. I’d be out of it too if someone just scraped by jaw bone!

Is there a story behind this somewhere? Hope for a speedy recovery, does not sound like fun.
Dennis … she was in the Air Force and present at the Khobar Towers bombing. She dislocated both shoulders, fractured her jaw (patched together in a Saudi hospital), concussion, had a rod through her ankle, damaged her knee, and more. She was sitting in the apartment in the bottom right of this building: http://www.loc.gov/rr/frd/Khobar.htm
Sending out get well prayers for Ann.
Greg
You are both in my Prayers!! Thank you for your Service, Ann & Welcome home! (I was in that exact same building in ’91).
Our thoughts are with you and Ann. It sounds trite, but I do believe this sort of thing can make you so much stronger. Thank you for your service. Bryan
She thanks you all for the well wishes. She’s moving around a little bit more this evening. She’s a trooper — Ann never complains.
David, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for Ann.
Just read this, sorry to hear about her extreme discomfort, hope she ‘s feeling better today.
(Dave, don’t forget to tell her she still looks beautiful…)
