They have several different official names. One way to find them is to do craigslist searches for “aluminum slot rims” or “aluminum slot wheels”. One company that produced them was “Ansen” I thought
Another option is to find vintage wheel dealers. Below is a company out of Ellensburg, Wa, that has a wide variety of rims. It’s worth looking through them just to see what they have. I plan to do a post about them.

I wonder about the diesel setup?
Definitely not a VW engine. Perhaps a Toyota? I have a VW 1.9l turbo Diesel in my ’51 3A and this is not one, nor a 1.6l.
