Not a perfect restoration, but sure looks pretty good.

Looks pretty good, but older restoration…Hmmmm,

I’m going to contact and try to take a closer look at this one!

I was able to see and drive this first thing this am.. My summary of the condition was that the engine was removed and rebuilt by a local shop with lots of new parts. This was not a frame-off rest and the bottom of the tub definitely shows rust and crud. Bolts where used on the new exhaust and intake manifolds instead of new studs and nuts. The vin tag in the pic is screwed to the dash? To me it looks like a frame head tag that was relocated, but I’m not sure since my 1947 doesn’t have one. The brakes were not working but it runs and drives well, did not shift the xfercase while it was running, but it was not frozen. The floors in the tub were repaired and painted the same color as the body, solid, but not perect cosmetically. Paint over some rust on the tub and engine compartment. A NOS (and shinty) foot dimmer switch was mounted on the dash for the starter and used with a 2 position key during the 12 volt conversion and non oem lights and turn signals….also a replacement solex carb and cheap aftermarket distributor were installed. I’m jealous of the oil filter it looks mint, but is missing the sticker…I can go on if anyone has a specific question.

Overall rating on the restoration is IMHO in the B to B- range or a 6 or 7 out of 10. Solid daily driver and good starting point!

    Cheers,
    Ted

In summary a nice solid starting
