UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000
(01/03/2012) I’m wondering if this is a fiberglas body? The driver’s seat and steering has been moved to the middle.
“1949 Willys Jeep no title. Dana 60s axles, this is a project that needs just a little work to be finished, has transfer case and turbo 350 transmission, will include running big block 454. Started as a project don’t have the room and wife says it has to go.”
Looks like the roll cage was made from lightweight tubing originally used on a kids swing set. Notice the compressed tubing at the corners.
I’m thinking that cage is 100% safe as long as the cage doesn’t come in contact with the ground or a tree or a rock . . . lol
I guess the driver’s head is supposed to protect the cage in the event of a roll over.
That’s what you wear a baseball cap when driving it so your hair won’t get dirty.
How about wearing a hardhat?
I’d recommend a ski cap, because they are softer and there are more color choices.
My usual colors are black and blue.
