The Commando front end on a CJ-5 is a rare mod.

I’m starting to see more of these modifications come out of the wood work in the past few years. I don’t like them. One of the advantages a Jeep has over a pickup, Scout, Jeepster, or Bronco is that you can see the terrain ahead of you off-roading without a huge hood blocking your view.

I never realized that the Jeepster was dimensionally that similar to the CJ5. I am assuming those are CJ5 fenders with the Jeepster grill and hood just bolted on. Interesting mod.
I’ve seen many people go the other way, putting a cj5 clip on a jeepster. That’s a pretty good looking mod…this one, not so much.
