UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
Norm spotted this ad. The jeep has an interesting hardtop and unusual back. It appears well done. Does anyone know if the airforce owned or had other CJ-3As like this?
“airforce, toolbox, on wheels, very rare, many new parts, $3000 Troy, NY”
Hey Dave, I could not tell you if the air force had them, but it looks like a great idea, and lots of work. Can you tell from the photos if the windshield is cut narrower and the toolbox is over the passenger side? That’s kind of what it looks like to me.
That jeep would be very unique in somebody’s collection. I never saw one in my experience as an army pilot (1969-2007),but I’ve seen some work modified jeeps used by the airlines in the seventies. Specifically, CJ3B’s used with a loading belt for luggage handling. Saw one about six years ago in Lafayette La.

Note the DJ-3A at the bottom also used for luggage. I thought I had some pics of a CJ-3A used for luggage, but couldn’t find it.
Andy also has this airport jeep :http://www.ewillys.com/?p=49169
And here check out the reddish CJ-5 with a snow blower used at an airport:
