Ori forwarded me this image take by Danny Koro during a visit to Cuba. You can see the ‘Willys’ stamp on the hood, which indicates the hood has been trimmed. It sure is unusual. You can see more info about the post here: http://www.carsforum.co.il/vb/showthread.php?t=372206

With all those current photos of American 1950’s cars still being utilized in Cuba today, it’s not surprising that the same thing is still happening there with Willys Jeeps. By the way, if you search “Cuba” in this eWillys website you’ll find some cool images of when the Jeeps first got to Cuba.
BTW, the Cuba pics referred to by Steve were shared by Tim Dolan from Willysjeep.com. You can see the entire collection here: http://www.willysjeep.com/forum/gallery/category/26-fidel-castro-cuban-convention/

David, do you think there’s a large untapped maket of Jeep restorers down there in Cuba looking for repair tips, waiting for the trade embargo to be lifted so they can purchase tons of Jeep parts from us, and dying to get on eWillys so they can buy more? Or sell us all their NOS?
Well, I suppose we can always hope!?!? I’d be happy to book a trip and check it out myself if I could 🙂
