UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2200.
(09/17/09) This looks more like a MB body. And, it looks like a pretty good price given the winch, rollcage, and overdrive.
“1948 Jeep CJ2A, $3000.00 or Best Offer, 4-cyl F-Head, 3-speed trans w/OD, 8000 # Warn winch w/ remote, Tube bumpers front & rear, Chevrolet tilt wheel, 31 inch tires.”
this is the third windshield of this style that i’ve seen…l anybody know if these are aftermarket or custom mods?
I might have as many as 5 or 6 images of similar windshields. I need to create a post on customizing the windshield of a CJ-2A or CJ-3A as there have been a variety of interesting mods that nobody has organized well.
Based on what I’ve seen, I have wondered if there was an aftermarket seller for these as well, though I have yet to run across any references or ads to that effect.

that would be interesting …
here’s one i’ve seen allot online in my searches: http://www.4x4offroads.com/images/original-jeep-willys-3316.jpg
There was a retired Ford mechanic in Rancho Cordova, Ca. that was building flatfenders for a while as a hobby. Back in the early 90’s he had built closed to 40. When he picked up a willys that didn’t have a a good windshield, the large windshield is what he put on. He has since passed away.
How interesting. It would explain why many of these are in the West, mostly Cali. I’ll update the page with that info. Thanks!
