UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay. Here’s another militarized jeep. Note there is no reserve on this. The bid price has already reached $5,665. I’m kind of surprised that the bidding has hit that height already. The ‘gun’ looks really fake in this one photo. The summary text seems fair.
It looks like in this case someone has taken a flattie in poor condition (which likely explains the missing rear wheel body areas) and turn it into something reasonably cool without investing too much money. Jim was one of the best at doing that.
“Great little jeep 98% restored as MB. Engine restored, NEW tires, intake/exhaust manifold, carb, head, fuel pump, wiring harness and rear suspension. New paint job, little rust on frame. Comes with all things seen in photo.”
It’s sad to see people bidding on a Jeep that’s obviously so far from being original or military. Seems that if you throw on some non- directional tires, splash on the OD paint and mention “military” all reason flies out the window as fast as the cash out of the wallet. I don’t get it.
And there’s still 4 days left, too!
