What’s strange is the image that was included … a Willys MA??
“Vintage Military jeep with rebuilt engine. All brand new parts. Rust free body with paint intact (desert tan). Good transmission. Needs new brakes but otherwise, runs great. To come view the vehicle or to request pictures please contact Bill between 9-5 @ (760)598-6649 and 5-9 and weekends @ (760)489-9569.”
Yes, my picture book confirms that this is a Willys MA.
The guy doesn’t give us the courtesy of saying that the photo is not the actual Jeep. Or, maybe it is really an MA that he’s selling….
Lucky me! A friend of mine saw this book in a hobby shop and bought it for me at Christmas time (of course he thinks of the only Willys nut he knows.) The book is called, “Pre-standardized Jeep”, by David Doyle. I highly recommend this book if you want to see and read about the first Jeeps ever built. There are beautiful color photos on every page. 80 pages.

Somebody near it needs to go check it out and see what he has. Might be a great deal if he’s selling an MA
This EXACT photo is on Gavin’s MA site. Can’t sleep so I was browsing.
I can’t sleep either … it was such an odd image to include in the ad.
Dave,
I had called on this it’s a 45 cj for sale. NOT MA or even Military 🙁
That Bastage! He got us all worked up for nothing.
