When someone lists a jeep as ‘professionally restored’, it is only natural that I’ll examine it a little more closely. It appears sound, but sports an early CJ-2A grille, doesn’t have the bow holders, and is missing, as best as I can tell, windshield wipers. The custom looks nice. The strangest issue, in my mind, is that there is white paint around the edges of the gauges (probably just taped off the gauges), which doesn’t look all that professional to me.

There is so much wrong with that so-called “professional restoration” it is comical.
I know a thing or two about Willys and unless I’m losing my eyesight that color red wasn’t an original color in 1948 or ever. Not to mnetion when did Willys start painting their engines Ford Gray? Maybe after the War, Ford had some extra paint since they couldn’t build jeeps anymore and they sold it to Willys! I like the 1960’s rims as well…every 48 I’ve ever owned or restored has 16 inch rims with simple domes no bumps for wheel covers.

Not to mention the chrome bumper, back up lights, in-body tail lights and the bash on the top of the speedo, non-original guages….the list goes on
