Is it just me or do the driver and passenger sides look modified? The tub openings don’t appear as curved as they should. They look almost like an MA opening at the top, although it doesn’t have the MA step. Looks like the tool indents are gone to.
You are right Frank. Both sides have the same odd swoop, but they don’t look to swoop low enough at the entrance to be a MA/GP. The seller does note that the body was reskinned. Could a GP/MA rear have been grafted onto a MB front? That would explain the partial swoop ….
it was reskined by bubba. the vin starts MB422.(by the vin i think its a 44 not a 42. sheet metal over cut out rust. not trying to sell as a restoration project but just a good little hunting rig that runs good.
Hey Jon, I noticed the openings and was just curious. I think it looks like a fine beast. For the price,I think you should sell it quickly
sorry frank didnt mean to come off a little gruff just tired of people answering my other ads looking for a restoration project when i note that it has body problems
No worries at all…..I’ve seen a lot worse, for more money claiming to be a ” real easy restore”. Yours, in my humble opinion, could be restored. All the best on it’s quick sale
cool and yes ANYTHING can be restored with enough time and money.
…….or you can just zip to L.A. see Johnathon Ward at ICON and give him a cool 90 large ,and have a brand new CJ-3B. If only huh!
id rather restore and have a piece of history then a copy(they are cool though)
