Does anyone know if any wrenches or other tools came with new civilian model jeeps (either stock or as an option)? If not, did Willys sell tools through their dealerships, and if so how are they marked? Have there been any tools found that are maked “Willys” or “Jeep”?

I’ll have to look, but someone else asked me about that — I can’t remember who at the moment. I wanted to do a post that covered tools for both military and CJs. I just hadn’t gotten to that yet (partly because I’m not sure what tools were offered for various jeeps).

Yes, Dave, I’m the one that wondered in a previous email to you what Willys did in regards to tools. I thought maybe someone out there looking at this might be able to enlightened us.

Steve … please excuse my memory — it’s shot to hell. When then, it seems I posted this for you because I remembered having the discussion, but obviously couldn’t remember who I’d had it with. But, I figured this was a step in the right direction. 🙂
